Wow team Tree have had a busy few months with more still to come! NBA Manchester

Manchester showcased a massive event when the stars of the NBA came to town, as The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Philadelphia 76ers on

October 8th at the Phones4u Arena in the first ever NBA pre-season game to be held in the city.  Basketball legend Kevin Durant was true to form and helped secure Thunder’s 103-99 win.

The AJ Bell World Squash championships then rolls into Manchester on 26th October and is set to be the biggest squash championship in the UK yet featuring some of the world’s best squash players. The nine-day tournament will be staged between 26th October and 3rd November at the National Squash Centre with the final 4 days at Manchester Central with tickets for the Saturday night Semi-finals already sold out this is set to be momentous.

It still doesn’t end there for Manchester as the city also plays host to the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in December and at the National Cycling Centre, home of British Cycling the World Track Cycling Championship on 2nd & 3rd November.

The glittering NorthWest Football Awards will also happen on Monday 4th November with 500 of the the sports industry’s finest donning black tie to see who will be crowned NW Footballer of the year amongst other awards.

Not to be out done by Manchester London will offer the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals from November 4th till 11th; one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments to be held at The O2 in London. The world’s top 8 male singles players and doubles teams will compete for the $5m prize fund and finish the season as ATP World Tour Champions.

The rest of the UK will also see some fantastic sports action, as The Rugby League World Cup final will be hosted by England in November 2013. Five games are to be played within Greater Manchester in total including a quarterfinal at the DW Stadium, Wigan and the World Cup Final, which is to be played at Old Trafford football stadium on Saturday 30 November will make this autumn/winter truly spectacular for sport!
